WHAT IS AFL?


Australian Football League or Aussie Rules Football is a contact sport played on ovals with teams consisting of 18 players and 3 substitutes. The game is player for 120 minutes divided into 4 quarters, a ball that is kicked between the two larger goal posts scores 6 points and kicked between the smaller posts is a behind scoring a point.  The season begins the last weekend of March and continues to the Grand final on the last Saturday in September.
